Mia Walkthrough – Summertime Saga (School & Tutor Route Breakdown)
Quick Answer- Intelligence stat at least 3–4 before mid-route
- Visit Mia only during school hours (weekday mornings and afternoons)
- Start in the hallway before moving to the library
- Progress requires repeated study sessions — one visit is never enough
If you’re stuck, it’s almost always an Intelligence issue or wrong timing.
Mia is one of the cleaner-looking routes on the surface — she’s at school, you’re at school, seems straightforward.
But she quietly gatekeeps herself behind your Intelligence stat in a way the game never warns you about.
Players hit a wall mid-route, assume something’s broken, and start reloading saves for no reason. Nothing’s broken. Your stat is just too low.
What Makes Mia Different
Where Diane needs you to show up and do physical farm labor, and Roxxy requires navigating a whole social chain first — Mia’s gate is internal. It’s your own Intelligence stat.
That makes her feel accessible early, which is exactly why players get blindsided when she stops responding mid-route.
She’s also split across two specific school locations — the hallway and the library — and the game expects you to work through them in order.
Players who skip straight to the library will find Mia barely engages. The hallway phase has to happen first. There’s no tied character blocking her the way Erik gates Diane. Mia’s blocker is you.
Requirements Before You Start
- Intelligence at 3 or higher — study at your desk at home or use the school library during off-sessions
- Main story progressed past the opening — Mia has a soft story gate most players don’t know exists
- School access during school hours — obvious, but this catches people constantly
Where to Find Mia (Time & Location)
Mia is a school character. You will not find her in town, at the park, or anywhere outside campus during the school day.
Her two key locations:
- School hallway — early interactions, first conversations, initial relationship building
- School library — mid and late route, study sessions, deeper dialogue unlocks
Timing:
- Weekday mornings and afternoons only
- Not accessible evenings or weekends for route progression
This is the most reported Mia “bug” that isn’t actually a bug. Players visit in the evening, find nothing, and assume the route is broken.
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Step 1 – First Contact in the Hallway
Your first few Mia interactions happen in the school hallway. These are short, surface-level conversations that build basic familiarity.
Nothing dramatic happens here — that’s intentional.
Show up during school hours, find her in the hallway, talk. Don’t skip these trying to jump to the library. The hallway stage has to play out before the library becomes useful.
Step 2 – Build Intelligence Early (Hidden Gate)
While the hallway conversations are happening, you need to be studying daily.
Go home after school and use your desk. Or use the library during lunch windows.
Mia’s mid-route content has a quiet Intelligence check that never announces itself — it just stops moving forward until the stat is high enough. Get to at least Intelligence 4 before expecting library sessions to open up properly.
Step 3 – Library Study Sessions (The Core Loop)
Once enough hallway conversations are done and your Intelligence is climbing, Mia becomes available in the library for study sessions.
This is the repetition engine of her route — similar to Diane’s farm task loop, except the setting is academic. Each session pushes affection forward incrementally.
Same rule applies: don’t do one session and wait. Come back daily. The library is your farm.
Step 4 – Personal Conversation Unlocks
After enough study sessions, Mia starts opening up beyond the academic context.
New dialogue options appear that have nothing to do with homework — these are the relationship-building conversations that push the route into its later stages.
These unlock based on session count, not days passed. If they haven’t appeared, you need more library visits, not more waiting.
Step 5 – Late Route Events
The final stretch involves events that shift partly outside the standard school locations.
Pay close attention to what Mia tells you during the personal conversations — she drops location and timing cues that players miss by clicking through dialogue too fast.
If you’re in the late route and feel stuck, check whether every personal conversation concluded fully before you moved forward. This is the most common late-route failure point.
Missable Tips
- Skipping hallway interactions blocks library progress entirely
- Studying too late in the route delays mid-route unlocks significantly
- Visiting outside school hours gives zero progression — don’t bother
- One study session is never enough — repetition is the whole mechanic
- Rushing through personal dialogue prevents the next trigger from firing
Hard Blockers
Intelligence too low for library access — the game won’t tell you this is the problem. You’ll just find nothing available. Check your stat before assuming a bug.
Skipping the hallway phase — heading straight to the library won’t work. Mia won’t engage there until hallway introductions are done.
Visiting outside school hours — evenings and weekends do not progress this route. This single issue causes more “Mia is broken” reports than anything else.
Main story too early — if you’re in the very first hours of the game and Mia is barely responding, push the main story forward slightly before returning.
Failure States
The most common broken run with Mia: player does a couple of hallway conversations, visits the library once, gets a short interaction, and assumes the route is done or bugged.
The library sessions need to repeat. One visit is not enough.
Second common issue: rushing through personal conversations before they fully conclude. Mia’s personal dialogue runs longer than most characters — click fast and the completion flag doesn’t set. The next trigger won’t fire.
If this happened, revisit the library a couple of times and the conversation will usually pick back up.
Unlike Jenny’s slower time-based route where waiting fixes most issues — Mia requires active revisits to self-correct.
If you’ve followed all of this and something still feels off, the progression fix guide covers version-specific issues. For other characters where things have stalled, the full progression guide covers the most common cross-route blockers.
Stat Priority
- Intelligence — the primary stat for this entire route. Study every single day.
- Charisma — helpful for a few late-route dialogue options but not a hard gate.
- Strength — completely irrelevant to Mia’s route.
If your game version is outdated, some school events and library triggers for Mia may not fire correctly. You can check the latest version and full setup guide here.
